We make sure your SIP home's windows are right the first time.

Why we started SIP Windows

SIP homes are built to a higher standard than conventional construction. The wall system is engineered to perform. But that performance only holds if every component is right, and windows are where most SIP builds run into trouble.

Most window dealers don't know how SIP panels are manufactured, how the rough openings differ, or what air-seal strategies actually work at the panel edge. They sell from a catalog and leave the details to the builder.

We started SIP Windows because somebody needed to close that gap. We work from the building science first: your climate zone, your panel specs, your rough openings. Then we recommend windows that actually fit the build.

What makes SIP construction different

Custom panels need matched windows

Every SIP panel is manufactured to your home's plans. The rough openings, wall thickness, and structural details are all specific to your project. Off-the-shelf windows from a standard dealer may not account for these differences, and your builder ends up solving problems on site that should have been handled before the order was placed.

The air seal matters more

In stick-frame construction, there's room to adjust. SIP panels create a continuous thermal envelope with tighter tolerances. The window needs to work with the panel edge, not against it. Getting the frame depth, sealant details, and opening dimensions right makes the difference between an envelope that performs and one that leaks.

We've seen what goes wrong

We know what a bad rough opening looks like after a winter in Zone 6. We know which manufacturer warranty calls get answered and which don't. That experience shapes every recommendation we make.

38 years of window industry experience

SIP Windows is supported by a family glass company that has been measuring, ordering, and installing windows since 1987. Four decades of seeing what works, what fails, and what lasts.

That experience is built into every spec we write. We're not guessing which products hold up or which manufacturers stand behind their warranties. We already know.

Extreme Panel Technologies partner

We work directly with Extreme Panel to coordinate window packages for their builds. We know their rough opening standards, their builder network, and the installation details that work with their panels.

If your builder is using Extreme Panel SIPs, we can spec your windows with confidence. That's why Extreme Panel refers builders and homeowners to us.

Why spec reviews are free

A bad window spec costs everyone more than our time. If you order the wrong window for your climate or your panel system, you'll deal with comfort issues, air leakage, or condensation down the road. Fixing that is expensive.

We review window plans at no cost because getting it right the first time saves everyone money and headaches. Send us your plans or your opening count. We'll tell you what works, what it costs, and when it can ship.

Completed SIP home

Your home should feel right from day one

You're putting a lot of thought, time, and money into building this home. The windows should be one of the things that just works. Not something you're still troubleshooting a year after you move in.

That's what we're here for. Send us your plans, tell us about your build, and we'll make sure the windows are right.
